Clubs at Kroa
At Kroa in Bø, we offer a variety of different committees that work on a range of exciting events. These committees contribute to a diverse selection of activities at Kroa outside of school hours. By participating in a committee, you get a valuable break from your studies while working alongside fellow students who share your interests.
BØ Film Club
Bø Filmklubb is a non-profit and volunteer association established in 1972, and it is part of the Norwegian Film Club Federation's network.
With us, you can experience both timeless classics and newer quality films while having the opportunity to become part of a social environment that shares your passion for film. The films we show are often introduced by members of the film club or guests, providing a new and exciting perspective on the film and creating a more engaging experience.
Bø Filmklubb holds screenings at Kroa in Bø and collaborates with the student café Kultores to create a pleasant atmosphere for our film nights.
Photo Club
We in the photography group are an enthusiastic team that documents everything happening at Kroa—from concerts to events! If you love capturing moments, the photography group is the perfect place for you. You don’t need much experience, just an interest in learning! We provide the equipment and knowledge you need to develop your skills.
DJ-Club
The main focus of the DJ committee is to create atmospheric and suitable music for the audience at Kroa, tailored to the various events throughout the semester. We also have unique access to DJ equipment, where each member has the opportunity to learn the technical side of DJing and practice before an event.

Headbanging Company
KNS was founded in 2023 with a focus on rock and metal. We are an enthusiastic group passionate about the rock and metal scene in Bø and the surrounding area, and we work to bring this passion to Kroa. We organize concerts, pub nights, quizzes, and much more.

Kroa Kreativ is the committee responsible for all the decoration and embellishment for events at Kroa. We ensure that the atmosphere is set with creative and unique decor. Kroa provides the equipment and materials, giving you the freedom to explore and realize your ideas. If you have a passion for creative expression, Kroa Kreativ is the place for you!
GameCrib
Spillkribb is the place for you if you want to spend time with other gaming enthusiasts in Bø and compete for prizes in game-related competitions. We organize evenings with an open café at Kroa, where you can sit down with our board games and video games—or bring your own! Come to relax, socialize, or compete with us at Spillkribb!
quiz-Group
The Quiz Committee consists of quizmasters and quiz coordinators who collaborate to create and host quiz nights at Kroa. Two people always work together, both in preparing the quiz and during the event.
The group is a social bunch that works together to continuously improve the quizzes at Kroa. In addition to creating questions, the committee is responsible for all the practical aspects needed for a successful evening, such as setting up the screen, microphone, and sound system.
Kultores Pub & Café
The café guards Kroa's greatest treasure: the secret waffle recipe. We are open every Tuesday and Thursday, offering waffles along with coffee, snacks, sweets, and delicious paninis and toasts. The café provides a cozy place to read or take a break from studying. Additionally, we regularly host intimate concerts and film screenings, adding extra warmth to the evenings at Kroa.
Kroa Excursion
Kroa Excursion aims to take you out into nature, among fjords and mountains. We offer the opportunity to enjoy fresh air and beautiful surroundings while socializing with other nature-loving people. Whether we explore mountain trails, hike along lakes, or simply spend time outdoors, Kroa Excursion is the place for those who want to combine physical activity with pleasant company.

Viko
VIKO in Bø has been a tradition since 1995 and is Bø's very own student festival. The festival spans nearly two weeks and offers a diverse program with something for everyone. From concerts and parties to social gatherings and sporting activities—VIKO has it all!
The festival is 100% student-run, and each year a new board is elected to plan and organize the events. Are you passionate about creating unique experiences for everyone? Join the VIKO board and help shape Bø's liveliest festival!
Open Mic
Are you interested in contributing to creating an open and inclusive environment where everyone can showcase their talent? Then Open Mic is the place for you!
We are an enthusiastic organizing group with our own Instagram and Facebook pages, where you can sign up for our events and stay updated on upcoming happenings.

Some-group
The SoMe group is a creative and engaged team that works to promote Kroa and shape our digital identity in collaboration with the marketing manager on the main board.
This skilled group also supports the other committees with marketing events, creates content for Kroa's TikTok and Instagram, and documents concerts with photos and videos. They are always present where the action is and ensure that Kroa's activities receive the attention they deserve!
